This new site/blog has been blossoming for a while now. Though it wasn't until the beginning of 2021 that I knew quite which direction it was going!
One of the biggest things I heard as business advice whilst in the photography industry for 6.5 years, was 'find your niche, and stick to it'. In otherwords, if you shoot weddings, only share your wedding work. This is something I've never been able to do, and at times it would even stop me from sharing things as I felt my 'identity' as a photographer was a little foggy, To 'find my niche and stick to it' is like asking me to choose who my favourite child is... which is impossible! It's a battle I've just given up fighting, and this is the result...!
After sharing bits and pieces with various audiences, particularly during the Covid-19 lockdowns, I was encouraged to share to a wider audience. As people seem to genuinely enjoy what I create, I've combined it all into one space here on my website...
This includes family photography and videography, branding photography and videography, wedding photography, photography of the natural world, macro and landscape photography. Plus any other type of photographic art :)
But I've also recently unleashed another passion of mine into the world which although is still in the creative world, has nothing to do with photography! Illustration - for as long as I can remember, drawing has had a special place in my life, and I've never been able to switch it off! So, in my shop and occasionally here on my blog, you will find some of my illustrations I've been working on. Which brings me nicely onto my newest online feature...
My Shop!!
I have wanted an online shop for years, but have always chickened out! But here we are; a shop of my own now on my website, selling what I love to create for others, whether photographic OR illustrated!
It's all very new at the moment (as of March 2021), so there isn't much happening on it right now. But there are lots of things happening in the background!
